Our Rhythms of Grace

To be a community that follows Jesus for our neighbors, we have adopted a few shared rhythms of grace that we are committed to embodying together.

RYTHMS OF GRACE

something about Matthew 11:28-30. our shared rhythms of grace, or rule of life, is a way to arrange your everyday life to help us keep in company with Jesus.

As a church, we have adopted six practices of Jesus to help us center our lives on Christ. To aid us in remembering these practices and their purposes, we’ve incorporated them with our church logo. We’ve provided more information regarding each practice below and ways that you can join us in these rhythms of grace together.

The Rhythm of

Prayer + Scripture

The two most important ways to connect with God are Prayer and Scripture. These two are meant to be engaged in together. When we read Scripture, the main goal is not to gain information, but to be formed as a follower of Jesus.  When we pray, rather than simply rattling off our wish list to God, we are praying according to God’s Word and God’s will.

INVITATION to Start

The Rhythm of

Community + Sabbath

Romans 10:17: So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

The two most important ways to connect with God are Scripture and Prayer. These two are not mutually exclusive; rather, they are meant to be engaged in together. When we read Scripture, the main goal is not to gain information, but to experience illumination (God speaking to you through the Bible). When we pray, rather than simply rattling off our wish list to God, we are praying according to God’s Word and God’s will.
